This privacy policy sets out how Hunt Forest Group uses and protects any information that you give Hunt Forest Group when you use this website.

Who are we?

We are a company that services the agricultural industry in Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset, Somerset and the Isle of Wight. We supply and service a variety of agricultural, professional turf and construction manufacturers machinery, with the main franchise being John Deere.

For what purposes are personal data being processed and what is the legal basis for it?

We use your personal data (name, address, phone number and email address) to process orders internally.

If you have signed to say you would like to receive marketing information from Hunt Forest Group (such as newsletters, or promotions relating to products you have purchased or events you have shown interest in) then we will post these to you.

Who is the personal data going to be shared with?

Data will be shared with John Deere, and our other machinery suppliers, who will use this to register your machinery for warranty purposes. We will never sell your personal data to a third party.

Data will be shared with finance companies if you enter into a financial contract.

Data will be shared with DVLA to register vehicles that you have purchased.

Will my data be transferred out of the EU, and if so will it be safe?

No. Your data will not be transferred out of the EU.

How long is my data going to be held?

Your data will be held for 7 years from your last transaction with Hunt Forest Group. It is a requirement from HMRC for audit purposes that we retain this information for this period of time.

Reports will be run twice yearly to remove any inactive accounts from our database.

Will I be subject to automatic decision making?

As the company operates on a consent basis, you will not be subject to automatic decision making or profiling.

What rights do I have in respect of the personal data you hold about me?

You have the right to:

  • Have your personal data rectified, restricted or erased (as long as it is not required to complete a contract)
  • To port your personal data to another controller
  • To withdraw consent
  • To access the personal data held about you
  • To object to processing (but please bear in mind that this may affect our ability to process a contract/sale of goods or services).

What happens if I don’t provide my information?

There is a contractual requirement to provide certain personal and non-personal data such as name, address, telephone number, email address, VAT number etc. Without this data, we are unable to create a financial contract or a contract of sale for items such as machinery, or for an account with a credit facility.

Who can I complain to if I feel my rights are being violated?

You can complain to the ICO whose contact details can be found on their website.

I didn’t give you my personal data, so what is the source, and what type of personal data are you processing?

We do not purchase data from other sources.

We may have been given a contact within a businesses telephone number by a colleague or manager.
